We are so excited about the renovation project now happening at Mountain Brook!
To date, there is a new roof on the school as well as significant structural improvements to the inside. The interior has been completely stripped out and we are working on installing new windows.

August 3, 2011Volunteers Bill Nickel, Jim Till and Heidi Wunderlich installed the last four of the north side windows! And that's all! Now there is sunlight coming in from both sides just as beautiful as ever. Thank you SO much you guys for all the hard work you put in. We are so grateful! We are so excited to have sunlight coming into the school again! Amanda Wunderlich also cut and edged the lawn. Thank you SO much you guys for all the hard work you put in. We are so grateful!June 29th, 2011Volunteers Bill Nickel, Kim Wunderlich and Heidi Wunderlich finished framing in the last of a bank of four windows. They are now ready for windows to be set in. Afterward, we put two windows in the holes just to see how they looked and for pictures. Looking good! New furniture was also hefted into the library building and work was done on the oak shelving to be added to the Mountain Brook Library. Thank you to all who came and helped. Afterward, we wanted to get a glimpse of what the new windows will look like and set one in one of the holes for a picture. It's going to look wonderful! Volunteers Heidi and Amanda Wunderlich sorted through oak shelving donated by Flathead County Library to later be assembled and added to the fiction shelving of the Mountain Brook Library. See you next Wednesday!June 15th, 2011Bill Nickel did the first steps for framing in new headers for windows while volunteers Heidi and Amanda cleared the north classroom to prepare for dropping the sagging false ceiling. The foundation would appreciate the help of more volunteers on the next Wednesday work night for this large step. June 8th, 2011Volunteers cut the lawn and did some trimming around the property with our new lawnmower and weed eater. June 1st, 2011Work parties are beginning again! Volunteers Bill Nickel and Heidi Wunderlich removed all seven windows along the south wall of the schoolhouse. The windows will be stored, some of them for art decoration when the building is complete and others to be sold as fundraisers.
